Andrea Dutton who is furthering current understandings of ocean level dynamics by reconstructing ice sheet changes and global sea levels during earlier periods of global warming on earth is one of this year’s recently-announced class of 2019 MacArthur Fellows — the so-called “genius” awards.
Working in a variety of fields, each MacArthur Fellow will receive a no-strings-attached $625,000 award, encouraging him/her to continue to innovate, take risks, and pursue their creative vision.
The Fellows were chosen for their innovation and creativity and their potential to make important contributions to our communities and society.
The fellowships are awarded by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation recognizing the host of artists and scholars for their creativity and potential.
